Teaser #1 - This Is What It's Like To Be Dean Moxley...

This is what it feels like to be Dean Moxley.

You are brought into this world with nothing. You carry the stigma of being an orphan around as a child, and naturally, the rest of the kids bully you because of it.

And yet, you do nothing.

You migrate to the United States and find work at the local police station. First as a guy who files papers, does all the boring and mundane jobs that nobody else wants to. You’re viewed as a pushover by everyone, except the person that matters most – the Commissioner, George Wilson.

Yes sir, George Wilson takes care of you well and good, he is a fellow Brit after all. Heck, he even takes you under his wing, tells you he sees something special in you. You become his personal assistant, doing all the jobs the rest of the force wish they could do, and before you know it, they’ve all stopped giving you shit. You’ve become somebody.

Until one day, you get too big for your boots. You feel invincible, so you go out for a drink one evening – except one drink turns into a fair few more, and wouldn’t you believe it, you’re involved in a hit and run… under the influence, no less.

That Commissioner friend of yours, the man who helped build your self-confidence, well he’s nowhere to be seen when the trial comes. Word is that he’s ashamed of you – and just like that, your confidence is crushed to dust.

The judge gives you two choices; face severe jail time or be deported back to the UK with a tag. Well, that’s a no brainer right. A one-way ticket back to merry-old England is organized swiftly, and before you even have the chance to bid farewell to George Wilson, you find yourself back in London.

Problem with that is, London is far different than you remember it being.

Blood stains the streets. A dictatorship is in full force, and it soon becomes apparent that without any allies, you’ll just become another dead body littering the alleyways.

So, you do what any smart person would do – you hide.

For months, it’s a game of hide and seek between you and The Dictator’s special command teams. They’re good, really good in fact, but by some stroke of good fortune, you always manage to escape.

Heck, you even find yourself being taken in by an underground rebellion. The plan is to overthrow The Dictator. For a while, it sounds like a solid plan, it gives your life some purpose.

Days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months. As time passes, your influence grows, your power grows. People hold you in high regard, you’re important.

You’re somebody.

Alas, all good things must come to an end.

One night, you’re taken whilst the rest of your brotherhood sleep. There is no help, there is no rescue. As soon as you’re dragged from your slumber into the harsh reality of what awaits you, you know the deal.

Vincent has found you – and The Dictator claims another victim.

Weeks and months blur into each other as you’re held captive. You lose hope, you lose faith. Truth be told, you start to lose your sanity also.

Vincent gives you a choice to either die or meet The Dictator, one-on-one.

Death seems so sweet, but instead you opt to look into the eyes of the Devil.

Expecting your life to end, you find yourself being given a second chance – The Dictator offers to give you your life back.

With a price.

You lose a portion of your tongue – it’s not life threatening, and you manage to retain the ability to speak, heck most don’t notice it.

But you notice it - you notice it every moment of every day, just how The Dictator envisioned you would. The scars around your mouth make sure of that.

This is what it’s like to be Dean Moxley. Helpless, scarred up, and a victim of insanity.
